Abeego – Beeswax Food Wraps (3 variety)
Abeego, the original beeswax food wraps were invented on two founding principles. Firstly, it’s logical. It breathes. If living food needed to be wrapped in airtight wrap the rind, peel or skin would be airtight. It’s not. Secondly, it’s inspirational. It looks good, feels good, smells good and fosters a healthier relationship with food. Welcome to the future of food wraps!
It’s self-adhesive so just use the pressure and warmth from your hands to shape and mold your beeswax food wraps over or around your food.
Hand wash in COLD water with biodegradable dish soap for the longest lifespan. Hang to dry or towel dry for immediate use. If unsoiled, (ie it’s been covering a bowl of salad) just reuse or store your beeswax food wraps in a clean, dry place, like a kitchen drawer until next time.
Wrap & wash for a year or longer then order more of the sizes you love, because once you try them, you’ll never want to be without and go back to plastic.
- 1 Small Wrap 18 cm x 18 cm (7” x 7”)
- 1 Medium Wrap 25 cm x 25 cm (10” x 10”)
- 1 Large Wrap 33 cm x 33 cm (13” x 13”)
Made with beeswax, tree resin, organic jojoba oil infused into a hemp and organic cotton cloth.
- Wash your Abeego like you would a plate. Let dry in the dish rack or hang to dry, no wringing required.
- Keep your Abeego away from heat
- Never use Abeego in the stove or microwave
- Let your food cool before covering
- Keep out of the sun on hot days.
While Abeego can last well over a year, they are a consumable good that you’ll need to replace every so often. You’ll know it’s time to grab a fresh Abeego when your Abeego feels threadbare and less waxy.
- What to do with my Abeego when it’s at the end of its lifespan?
- Compost it
- Cut it into strips and use as twist ties in the garden.
Abeego saves honey bees by saving food.Did you know the average household throws 1 in 4 produce items into the trash? Imagine the positive effect we would have on honey bees if we took good care of the fresh food they supply us with.
Abeego is all natural.Every ingredient used comes from the earth and will return to it without a trace.
Abeego is zero waste.“Waste” is actually a resource. From day one we adopted a waste free commitment so we make amazing twist ties and fire starters with the excess.
Abeego lasts.Planned obsolesce should be obsolete. Beeswax is valuable so we make Abeego durable. You’ll add to your collection before replacing tired wraps.
Abeego uses minimal energy to produce.Primarily people powered, except our awesome waxing machine that has tripled our output using the same amount of energy.
